How are people finding getting their booster jab?

The vaccine is saving lives, I am just grateful my family and myself are vaccinated against this virus.

Its is a shame for you, that you don’t feel the same way.
What do the rest of your family think
I’m genuinely glad that you and your family are vaccinated and feel safe. None of my family have had it except for mother . She’s 74 and has turned down the booster. I believe everyone should be free to make their own choices without prejudice. If people like you could appreciate that and lose the labels such as conspiracist and anti-vaxxer oh and fruitcake then maybe we could have a decent conversation.

I booked my appointment for a wednesday but didnt realize it was the 22nd so when I went I got turned away and told to return in a week.
I did, as a walk in and got it.
Now I have to figure out how the feck to cancel the appointment, the NHS website is not exactly good for that.

Don't worry about cancelling, the system will have recorded that you got your jab, anyway - they expect a few 'no shows'.

The same but slightly different; I had an appointment booked but then had a call from the local health centre looking for people to use up vials at the end of the day. I then tried to cancel the the booked appointment but couldn't. I just kept being referred around an around but nobody seemed to know how to cancel.

What a great idea. Lets end speed limits as well. They are mostly there to prevent people from killing others. Murder maybe as well - all's ok.

My own view is that I should do the most I can to make the current covid cull as long and drawn out as possible and I would also prefer not to be counted in some of the statistics. This all influences what I choose to do.

Fact of life. Some who do not do the same will eventually appear in statistics they would much rather not. Their best hope is that eventually it goes milder. While it spreads. fact of life it can change again.

Got a phone call this morning to say if I pop along to a walk-in centre near work they could do it immediately. Off I popped and within 20 minutes, (which included a cup of tea and biscuits, (not normal practice I believe)), it was all done and dusted and I was on my way back to work.

I agree, it has become so very tribal

but to be fair you have contributed to that as much as anybody else.

I am happy to have a sensible conversation and drop the labels if you in return accept that there is a risk to not being vaccinated and there is a risk to being vaccinated. There is no free ticket.

Some Americans are quite hard-hearted
