If you want to know what BBC and C4 are at go read their charter. One factor about the BBC is making use of local production facilities. There are a number of other aspects as well.
Generally ending the BBC such as making it a subscription service is known to be impossible. Radio ensures that but there are other factors as well.
The license fee clamp is nothing more than a political scam. The poor hard up people still have to pay it. Would a 10 to £15 increase make much difference to that. Seems the current fee works out at 43p a day.
Sell it to someone and TV will finish up like newspapers. They effectively prevent that and set a content standard that other channels have to match. Many million people watch various programs. Don't pretend they don't. ITV is still trying to match their viewing figure.
The use of goup think is fascinating. Does anyone have reviews at work? One way of holding those is to draw out from people that they can improve in some area. Once they have said it they can't complain about having this being pointed out. So badger the man on all sorts so he says perhaps we have a group think problem Great says the people doing the badgering. They can say the BBC has a group think problem. The term is meaningless.

Serious, what goes on in your mind?
Are you really trying to attribute the state of the BBC - the poor reporting, shift to a political agenda and lowering of standards that began in the early 1990's to a national referendum on leaving the EU in 2016?
