Language trends you dislike?

Every time Alan Shearer says 'And rightly so...' on MotD, it makes my teeth itch.
 
"I'm not going to lie to you".
Why would you? Saying that suggests that at times you do lie to me.
 
Management speak, things like we'll sunset that process next month, the new process will sunrise next year.
 
Adding unnecessary words for no reason - poss an Americanism. Eg. "for free" - well that's just free then. Same with "swapped out", "changed out" - when swapped or changed was always good enough. Fact!

Other stupid ones like "back story" - WTF is that all about. Same for "gifted, gifting"!!

Then other daft Americanisms. Now everyone is being "called out" or "calling out". Well I'm calling out that nonsensical trend.

People - furthest you've ever been is probably New Malden - you ain't living in downtown New York. ;) Have a nice day!
