I have no problem with him feeling a deep sense of shame for what he's done. Where does the 'greedy and grasping' come in to it? At least he's done the right thing by resigning, but showing a thumbs up for a man on the verge of a breakdown? Nah, you're wrong. It's not like he's been caught kiddyfiddling or killing someone.
