Can't get the staff

you must be confused with those Brexit think tanks funded by right wing libertarian groups

However the Migration observatory, is a trusted source.

here are the sponsors

And just looking at the first one on the list, the Paul Hamlin Foundation I see this about them:

As I said, they are funded by a body that wants to 'influence migration reform' so would you expect a body like that to fund another body who may find against their aims? Nah!

you could also ask how much money earned from these jobs ends up going back to the homeland: it was a source of constant friction where i worked that Indian and Pakistani labourers would lobby to work overtime and send cash home to families. They'd do this in groups to the exclusion of anyone else and created a closed shop of their own. Bloody annoying.

I've worked at a place where that happened. You were not allowed to complain about it. A situation that is a microcosm of how the country is now.

Obviously not, so do please explain, I'm all ears.

Averages you say?
OK, in super simple terms.
If you have 100 plumbers living on your street, it doesn't mean everybody in the country is a plumber. I just means your street is full of plumbers.

If you don't like being surrounded by plumbers, move.

The migration system does need reform….it’s not working.

so reports from hand wringing liberal apologists are good because they fit your narrative?
No

they are good because they are based on fact.

you are welcome to provide some evidence of your own

The only migration reform Notch wants is MORE IMMIGRANTS!
That’s right, I do
More doctors, more nurses, more carers, more seasonal workers, more hospitality workers.

I don’t want people to be waiting 12 hours for an ambulance, or farmers having to waste crops…..I don’t want any of that just because Andy and Mottie hate foreigners.

If its me you are referring too you could not be further from the truth and sadly blinded by your own prejudice.

My father's family was Welsh - immigrants. My grandmother's family was Irish - immigrants. Two of my best mates come from two different islands in the Carribean - immigrants. My nephew's wife's family were Jewish - immigrants. And I'll bet if you do a search of the surnames of the people in your family, some of those surnames won't be British. We are a mongrel race, which is often an advantage - they call it hybrid vigour in some fields

…….Mottie hate foreigners.
Wanting the UK (as opposed to the EU) to have the say in who comes over here from abroad to work does not equate to hating foreigners.

I've said it before and I’ll say it again; Just because we buy oranges from Miguel in Spain and sell cheese to Gunther in Germany, that should not give Mihails and Co. from Latvia the right to just come over here, work for a poor U.K. living wage but a very good Latvian living wage, live ten to a house and price George from England out of a job on the building site.

... and price George from England out of a job on the building site.
Speaking as what you call a "George", I have never been priced out of a job by Mihail or his mates, and we now have a major shortage of skilled construction workers in this country which I notice hasn't been addressed by the current government...

Do you work on sites? I’m talking about day rates for site workers. Looking at your user name, I suspect not. Try living and working on the sites up London for a decent wage.
