Wouldn't it be quicker and cheaper to have a fast effective system in place ?

Didn't this government promise to get control of this situation ? How are they faring ?

Nobody is going to stop people coming here, or trying to come here. What it needs is control and a good system

It also needs a system that makes the natives and long term residents feel that they are treated as well as the illegals.

Reports say some are tooled up and not bothered with claiming asylum. When they get off their boats they're going off to disappear into the black market others are leaving their hotels within a few days to do likewise.

I've said it before, I don't think they want to solve it. I'm not sure why, whether it relates to contracts being awarded to companies that are owned by relatives/friends, friends of friends or whatever. We need to conclude that our government, on this, is completely and utterly incompetent or that there's something else at play here ...

A friend of a friend ( know!) lives in one of the villages near the beach where a lot of them land. They say that most of them just leg it through the village, jumping over back gardens to get away. The two most common questions they ask of villagers is "What way to Leicester" and "Can I charge my phone up". Go ahead, shoot me down, as JohnD often says about me, I. Don’t. Care.

what you mean, have right wing media fermenting non stop hate and try hard to get deportations to Rwanda

I dont think I would want to be treated that well

If there was an effective system in place, that would happen automatically.

Its the lack of system and control that creates such feelings. Who is responsible for this current shambles?

"What you get" is why so many illegals make the effort. What is not so clear, is why illegals are actually accepted in the first place.

If you want to read something really depressing ....

"The data, however, shows that most applicants are successful. Whatever tougher policies are being devised, thousands of people a month still see crossing the Channel as worth the risk."
