It’s not a nice feeling, I hope today gets better for us both!!I know, so do I. Feels horrible doesn't it.
Sounds like you gave up on diesels in the 90’s!
Good point, thank you for bringing up Americas ongoing social problem with racial residential segregation.
American segregation separates the poor from the richOh Notchy - you're so full of dangerous liberal nonsense. The segregation is actually for our protection. Ask youself, which are the most dangerous areas in any US city?
Dense-o posts a link to debunking using heat from engines as the reason, when I said that is NOT what I am referring to - no mention of heat islands in that debunking piece totally ignores the reason I am saying. Here's how people are being conned for you --- google the hottest recorded temp in the UK -- what does it say -- Coningsby- right, Coningsby this Coningsby that but what they fail to mention is exactly where in Coningsby.
Its RAF Coningsby home to two frontline, combat-ready squadrons and is the training station for Typhoon pilots. Not saying its heat from engines before the professional debunkers start, but the acres of tarmac and concrete absorbing heat causing temperatures to build up, heat islands.
Take a look it says Coningsby but they miss out the RAF bit its stuff like that I am refering to when i say its a big con, that feels like a scam.

Record high temperatures verified
The UK’s new record-high temperature of 40.3°C at Coningsby, Lincolnshire, has been confirmed by the Met Office, following a rigorous process of analysis and quality control.www.metoffice.gov.uk
Anyone who’s driven a modern diesel knows they aren’t loud smelly machines. So you comment seemed to be troll like. No, I last tried one a few years ago in an SUV. I had previously driven a diesel car in the mid 80s and that was the worst car I have ever driven. And then another one in the mid 90s, which was quite a bit better. The modern one was completely different and I was extremely impressed. It was much smoother and quieter and there was so much torque that you barely needed to change gear. It would go up steep hills in fourth. But it just didn't suit the way I like to drive and I didn't find it fun or enjoyable. I wasn't trying to start a ruckus when I made that comment. It was just a throw away remark.

Ad hom noted.Dense-o

If RAF Coningsby suffers from "heat island" and had a temp of 40.3 deg why did St James Park register a temperature virtually the same at 40.2deg?Dense-o posts a link to debunking using heat from engines as the reason, when I said that is NOT what I am referring to - no mention of heat islands in that debunking piece totally ignores the reason I am saying.
they all sound like tractors to a degree, although with modern insulation you would hardly know from insideAnyone who’s driven a modern diesel knows they aren’t loud smelly machines. So you comment seemed to be troll like.
Yep more eco BS they were deemed more eco friendly along with low friction piston rings -- that then start to burn oil after 2 or 3 years - feel scammed yet.mind you dont get me started on wet belts which are no petrol and diesel engines
Oh this is a good one -- Notch tries to debunk -- using a screenshot from a website dedicated to climate scepticism and fighting climate lies .
Thank you for brining a brilliant source of information to everyone’s attention.
Aveatry you haven’t explained why you think “heat islands” are relevant to Consinsby, given that the weather station has recorded the temperature with the same claimed “heat island” effect but temps have been steadily increasing.Oh this is a good one -- Notch tries to debunk -- using a screenshot from a website dedicated to climate scepticism and fighting the climate lies.
Have a look here where notch got his picture from
