Anyone on here still pay roaming charges?

It’s about finding a deal that’s better than before and there’s loads of them. Who cares about laws changing and consumer protection/rights diminishing? Not me. I’ll worry about that if it ever happens but to be honest, I can’t really see that happening. No consumer law compels airtime providers to give unlimited U.K. calls and texts to other mobiles and landlines but they do. It’s business. The more competition, the better for the consumer.
Yep. As long as I’m winning, not bothered.

Just an update in case there’s still some remoaners (un)happily paying for a mobile contract without inclusive EU roaming.

Linky Linky

Come on then. All those that are paying to roam in the EU, tell us who you are with, why and how much you have paid.
Come on then. All those that now NEED to check before they go to the EU. It's not automatic like it was before.

I'm not. But I do need to check, which is worse than before.
That’s two who are not paying. How long does that 'checking' take you now that you’re not paying?

Come on, I'm still trying to find one mug who's paying to roam.

Right, so you’re not paying to roam in the EU. Next.
After I check, correct. Something I never needed to do before.

Just imagine getting caught out and picking up an unexpected bill, that would not have happened before.

Probably affects occasional travellers more than regular travellers.

Wrong. The 'right to roam' only came into effect in 2017. How long had we been in the EU? Did you not go to the EU before that because some providers gave inclusive roaming before they had to. You had to check though….
