Anyone on here still pay roaming charges?

Priceless.

It is now not a right as it isn't in legislation. But if you shop around, it'll just be a bit worse than before. Lol...
It was more expensive when we were in the EU and it was a right. Brexit bonus.

lol. Same three remoaners banging on about the cost but not one of them are paying for calls. An't be that difficult if they’ve switched airtime providers. :ROFLMAO:
And continually asking for the benefits of brexit, that NEVER get explained. YEARS later and still none.

And it’s you lot that keep saying <high pitched squeaky voice> "It’s worse since Brexit, I have to think now and it takes up all my time and hurts my brain". :ROFLMAO:

So, nobody is paying then. We got there. Wasn’t too bad after all, was it?
But still not better than it was !

It’s now universally agreed that EU inclusive roaming is alive and well and being enjoyed by Brits abroad in the EU, including those who said it wouldn’t be happening.

You carry on spouting your lies if it keeps you happy
It was more expensive when we were in the EU
Yep, there's another lie...

Remind us mottie, when did the UK leave the EU and when did free/inclusive universal roaming in the EU apply from?

I said inclusive roaming is alive and well and being enjoyed by Brits abroad in the EU including those that said it wouldn’t be happening. How is that a lie? Nobody yet has said they aren’t getting inclusive roaming. You said we wouldn’t. Are you not getting inclusive roaming then?

Remind us mottie, when did the UK leave the EU

when did free/inclusive universal roaming in the EU apply from?
June 15 2017

Now your turn to answer some questions.

When did roaming and the ability for U.K. residents to use their U.K. phones in the EU begin?

How much did it cost to use a U.K. phone in the EU up to June 15 2017? How much does it cost now?

Actually you said 'universal', and it is not!

Nobody yet has said they aren’t getting inclusive roaming. You said we wouldn’t.
I actually said that there wouldn't be an EU/EEA/UK wide roaming law in the same way as before and mobile companies would be free to charge roaming as an add on...

Both are true!

June 15 2017

Yep, Roaming was cheaper when we were still in the EU

Not to mention hassle free!

No idea about the exact date when roaming was made available as until 2017 it was an option...

And that would also be a technical/business question since it would have been dependent on network capabilities/deals over the years...

So for pre-2017 no-one can say whether overall it was cheaper since it depended on individual network deals...

But it's not relevant, because what is certain is that it is more expensive now than what it was before we left the EU...

And here's the thing..

Had we stayed in the EU we would still be getting cheaper deals than we are now, and with no hassle...

Your attempts to try and spin a loss into at best no worse will always be doomed to failure - doomed by the facts!

But, if you shop around, there is no problem for most, we can get what the EU get as standard. A bit worse is still a win!

Actually you said 'universal', and it is not!
I said universally agreed that EU roaming is alive and well and is being enjoyed by Brits in the EU and it is if you exclude you three. I’ve never seen so many people unhappy that they are not being heavily penalised or missing out but I suppose that’s the attitude of the average remoaner for you.
I actually said that there wouldn't be an EU/EEA/UK wide roaming law in the same way as before and mobile companies would be free to charge roaming as an add on...
And I said we didn’t need an EU law to enable that as business would overcome that. Yes, they are free to charge but they lose the customer (that travels) when they do so they now offer it for no extra cost as part of an inclusive deal.

Yep, Roaming was cheaper when we were still in the EU

Not to mention hassle free!
It wasn’t until the networks were forced to offer it, it was bloody expensive. You couldn’t get a hassle free £5/month 30 day contract with inclusive EU roaming while we were in the EU so stop lying.

Had we stayed in the EU we would still be getting cheaper deals than we are now, and with no hassle...
Really?

"The average price for a SIM-only mobile phone contract in the EU varies, but you can generally expect to pay between €20-55 per month, depending on data allowance and provider. Cheaper options with less data or from less well-known providers can be found for €20-25 for 10GB, while unlimited data plans can range from €35 to €55 or more, especially at major operators".

Wrong again on all counts.

But still not better than it was !
My February bill is still the highest for the year by 30%.

Shop around lol. I'm not going to lose the benefits of my contract so that I can save roaming charges for one or two weeks of the year, thanks.

Brexit - still just a lowly pile of unwanted, unneeded shít.

Mottie, you have to face it at some point...

You are a lost cause and so is brexit!

You have never been able to show a single benefit of the brexit vote, and you still can't prove that a handful of things are 'no worse' as you claim...

And by continually repeating your incompetence, you are the one that 'can't let go'

Shop around lol. I'm not going to lose the benefits of my contract so that I can save roaming charges for one or two weeks of the year, thanks.
Exactly!

mottie just doesn't get that because he doesn't want to admit that brexit is worse for roaming and his clinging to it as a 'good example' is doomed to failure!

But as mottie always loves to pry, I've got two phones on an account...

Unlimited text/calls/data and unlimited roaming in 47 countries plus other benefits...

£26.88 for both...

Rolling monthly contract and no yearly increase in charges until 2028 due to a 'loyalty bonus'...

But if I were to change the slightest thing it would be on to a daily roaming rate or a much higher tariff...

Plus the hassle of having to sort out a change of provider and loss of many loyalty bonuses that I have been able to get over the years...

And millions are in the same position of weighing up options when it was previously plain sailing when it came to roaming!
