Anyone on here still pay roaming charges?

Yes, despite Brexit we'll find workarounds for most things. That isn't better than before though.

You mentioned Brexit in the very first post, and others, now I'm not allowed to mention it? Ok...
Yes, because you are pointing out the differences (worse).

Pity somebody doesn't start a thread listing ALL the benefits. Let's see how they stand up to scrutiny and how good they are.

50 years was 1 of the claimed timescales, we are already on that road.

I also said business will win through, and it has. It’s more about business triumphing over any silly Brexit spite actions.
Despite the drawbacks, and not because of any benefits.

Understand the difference?

So what’s the problem with searching for the best mobile deal of you do that anyway, it’s f all to do with Brexit.

No-one is suggesting not to shop around for the best mobile deal that suits you...

But the topic you keep resurrecting is about roaming...

And before we left the EU it mattered not which deal you went for, roaming was not an issue - it was no extra charge by default.

That of course is no longer the case...

So to suggest that brexit had 'f all to do with it' is simply showing us that you are determined to prove how stupid you really are!

Hey. You told us what a brilliant deal you were on but not who with. I’m sure many remainers would like to be on it too. Did you forget?

I wouldn't think your average brexiteer would do that...

Everything they've cobbled together so far has been debunked with ease...

Hence the continual resurrecting of the same old bunch of lies...

Even garbage says "leaving the EU has "failed" and not brought any economic benefits"

And that's without taking into account the social disaster that has been brought about, especially to the younger generations...

But then a large percentage of brexiteers don't care about them!

Upset that you can't boast of a better one?

You wouldn't get the deal; because...

a. took advantage of a flash 50% off second number porting before cut off date for inclusive roaming.

and...

b. negotiating further extras due to a concept you appear to know nothing about - loyalty ;)

I remember when everyone paid roaming and the eu stepped in and stopped it but then we left the eu we had to start paying it again. That says to me its the phone companies that are ripping us off and it is our government colluding in the rip off as they get tax receipts from it. What is to stop the uk gov from preventing uk phone companies charging roaming

Perhaps this:

to "roam", you have to have both

- a deal with your UK provider, and
- your UK provider has to have an agreement with the provider at your destination.

So, while UK Gov could force UK providers to give you roaming as standard at their end, they can't force foreign providers to give you anything at all.

That's my guess, anyway.

And if my guess is right,

UK Gov would have been able to of course, when part of the EU............

Anyone could get a better deal than that if they needed unlimited data. You won’t say who your with though, will you so basically it’s all unprovable bollux then. Thought so.

Vodafone are a UK company and have their own networks in other countries
Anyway I get free roaming with my provider. so -- (y)

But as mottie always loves to pry, I've got two phones on an account...

Unlimited text/calls/data and unlimited roaming in 47 countries plus other benefits...

£26.88 for both...
But you prefer not to say who though. I wonder why? That’s not even a bargain anyway. You could get a better deal than that now without any loyalty whatsoever. You’re paying a ‘loyalty premium' :ROFLMAO: Who needs unlimited data anyway - I pay £14 for our two phones with unlimited calls, texts, roaming and 20 times more data that we'll ever need or use.
