Pity somebody doesn't start a thread listing ALL the benefits. Let's see how they stand up to scrutiny and how good they are.
50 years was 1 of the claimed timescales, we are already on that road.

Thanks for misinterpreting my post.
No-one is suggesting not to shop around for the best mobile deal that suits you...
But the topic you keep resurrecting is about roaming...
And before we left the EU it mattered not which deal you went for, roaming was not an issue - it was no extra charge by default.
That of course is no longer the case...
So to suggest that brexit had 'f all to do with it' is simply showing us that you are determined to prove how stupid you really are!

And that's without taking into account the social disaster that has been brought about, especially to the younger generations...

You wouldn't get the deal; because...
a. took advantage of a flash 50% off second number porting before cut off date for inclusive roaming.
and...
b. negotiating further extras due to a concept you appear to know nothing about - loyalty
I remember when everyone paid roaming and the eu stepped in and stopped it but then we left the eu we had to start paying it again. That says to me its the phone companies that are ripping us off and it is our government colluding in the rip off as they get tax receipts from it. What is to stop the uk gov from preventing uk phone companies charging roaming
Perhaps this:
to "roam", you have to have both
- a deal with your UK provider, and
- your UK provider has to have an agreement with the provider at your destination.
So, while UK Gov could force UK providers to give you roaming as standard at their end, they can't force foreign providers to give you anything at all.
That's my guess, anyway.
And if my guess is right,
UK Gov would have been able to of course, when part of the EU............

I wonder why? That’s not even a bargain anyway. You could get a better deal than that now without any loyalty whatsoever. You’re paying a ‘loyalty premium' 
Who needs unlimited data anyway - I pay £14 for our two phones with unlimited calls, texts, roaming and 20 times more data that we'll ever need or use.
