Look, the main points really are as I stated earlier, there are other details which are a work in progress but basically, it was a good meeting. Potential of a US/China energy deal, Trump asks China to boycott Russian Oil. It was a meeting where both sides were able to roll back the threat of tariffs without losing face.

Look, the main points really are

That Trump, who does not understand international trade and does not understand tariffs, announced he was going to impose enormous tariffs, to be paid by US buyers, on goods from countries that US customers bought stuff from.

China said if he wanted to be an a hole, they would restrict exports of their goods on which US (and other countries) are dependent.

US can't manage without them, so Donald dropped his threats and bluster.

And China have some reliance on the US, otherwise it wouldn't have reached the stage of the recent meeting. China could have sat back and watched America collapse surely. China are still paying 47% tariffs if I'm not mistaken.
