Laziness

Where would you start?

Pensioners? Royal family ? Disabled ?
Pensioners and disabled, Vouchers for healthy food, heat & light and charity shops for clothes. Absolutely NO CASH given out.

as for the royals, off with their heads (apart from Kate who I really like)

Some military vet's spend their days lying around in shop doorways, supping cheap booze. Are they lazy?
they would be getting the houses and hotel rooms now occupied by the migrants, without our over-generous benefit system the migrants would suddenly prefer france or some other dreadful EU fuddled country

So pensioners can't have cash ? Ok

Not even going further

So do you accept these people who make up the vast majority, are genuine claimants?

Like people that can’t work because they are on an NHS waiting list
Or people with a disability
Or people with a terminal illness
Or people with a progressive disease
Or a woman escaping domestic violence
Or a person that had a bad work injury and can’t work
Or a person that serious mental health issue like PTSD
Or a person that is a carer for a relative
Yes I would agree with that, barring No2

Quite. Obeying the rules is a two way street. However.....

Are they? Bodd seems to think they are. Do you?
people get themselves into a mess, then rules go out of the window - I'm sure some of these people could be helped to make so much more of their lives - they need help though, and ur society is too burdened by people who just play the system and get benefits they don't probably need.

not always convinced every down and out claiming to be ex forces is, some/many are though.
do you support the end of the two child cap?
not really (not 100% against though) but benefits should not be in cash. Our country is broken, we need something very radical, an entire new approach.

Good old Daily Mail trope.

Well done, aren’t you clever

By the way the lazy people in this country are the asset rich like property developers, landlords, all they have to do is collect rent off people working 12 hour days.
I know people who do that.
This bloke owns a lot of houses bought with mortgages.
He spends his time in Thailand while his agent collects the rents and manages the properties.
Over the years his mortgage liabilities have decreased while his assets values have increased, all paid for by his tenants working their bollix off to pay for something they will never own.

Have to admit that I was landlord at one time, I had a property that I couldn't sell but there was interest in renting it.
So I reluctantly rented to friend of my mate, he had broken up with his wife and seemed a bit glum, so I let him have the house and didn't even take a deposit off him. He wasn't there a month before he got drunk one night and jumped of a bridge.
He broke both his ankles and ended up bed bound in my property, so he wasn’t in the position to pay any rent and I didn't want anything to do with housing benefit and all that Palava.
So after a month I gave him a letter for the council telling them I was putting the property up for sale and wanted vacant possession,.
That meant he would eligible for rehousing by the council, TBH I was glad to see him go, he always looked on the edge of a breakdown, I was concerned he might try to top himself in my house.
I sold the house soon after he left, I was glad to get rid of it.

This thread was just about laziness. We can all be lazy from time to time. Rich or poor.

Nothing to do with benifits was on my mind.

Some have their moments some are just lazy bastàrds all the time.

Its how laziness affects others.
