Electric gate is catching the track at one end, gate gets stuck

Afternoon all, our gate is now catching the track very slightly sometimes its goes over the track other days its stuck and wont open and close, a light push and it will work. I used some steel epoxy last week and just very thinly put it on the area where the wheel was when the bottom caught the track and it worked, it only lasted a few days and catching again as the epoxy didn't last despite saying its as good as steel. any suggestions on what i can do to get the gate opening and closing on its own for now. when it warms up i will need to get someone to adjust it or start again. I was ripped off with it, guy installed it and its never been right after a few weeks of installing company gone bust.
I was thinking maybe some different epoxy, or maybe a 1or 2mm thin steel piece of sheet bent round the track just enough that the wheel lifts over it and raises the edge of the gate, its only in one spot for about 3inches then moves along fine

It looks as if it hangs lower, on the right, than the left. Is there no adjustment to lower the left down a bit?

the driveway is on a slight slope so the track is running down the driveway from right to left

I can, its catching the track just at the front edge of the gate as it goes up and down the driveway so i was assuming it might be the track has moved or ground has moved. i have a manual for the DEA motor but didn't think there would be much adjustment on it to move the gate up or down

Looks to me as though the driveway has sunk slightly at one point, causing the track to sink likewise. Can you prise the track up slightly and insert some packing below it at the critical point?

its cemented into the ground, has been fine for a year or two. i was hoping that something temp on the track top could lift it just slightly but the epoxy idea didnt work ive tried some thin aluminium but i would need to glue that to the track and i think im just going to bodge it further

i have spoken to a gate company thats going to try to visit next week, shared some pictures, think its going to be expensive

I can see your issue! The track has been laid with the road and not level. This is what is likely causing the issue.
With tracked sliding gates the track needs to be laid level for multiple reasons. 1 being if you remove the motor, or it fails the gate will just roll freely down hill and potentially hit something/someone.
2. You are putting extra strain on the motor and will run down it’s life expectancy a lot quicker
3. ⁠you get issues like this where it snags and catches along the way.

It’s not un fixable but it is likely to be a job of removing the track, laying a new level track and then re install the gate. I can certainly quote you for this?

Isn't the wheel then likely to come off the track?
Can you adjust the wheel mounting so that the bottom of the gate is a tad higher above the track?

it needs about 1mm to clear the track, ive tested it with the epoxy resin putty and moved up and down fine, the wheel goes around the track alittle aswell so i not lifting it very high to come off the track the wheel has no adjustment to it that i can see
