Climate Change

Why do we have to pay such a high price for energy compared to the rest of the world?
Seems like we are being punished for the virtuous ideology of the eejits who are running the shop.
Go woke, go broke, rings true yet again.

Plenty of wind spinning our generators today.

I have read that we can only now supply 30% of our annual gas needs and we will run out within a decade.
With a bit of ambition that shortfall could be quite easily taken care of with nuclear power.
Time to start building, I reckon.
Reform should unvail the pledge to invest massively in nuclear power as a key manifesto strategy.

Europe pays a lot because we are highly energy dependent. The UK has some particular rules around electricity which some say makes us pay more but it is very complicated and I have never looked into it properly. Part of it seems to be that the cost of electricity is linked to the cost of gas.

I'm all for lots more nuclear power. But I was looking at short term energy security if Trump throws another wobbly.

About 95% has been used and it will run out within a decade.
That was a news piece when I was at school. That was a bit more than 10 years ago lol. Hey. Doesn't matter what we believe. We can't change a thing and what will be will be. Don't let this stuff live in your head mate. Remember the UK output makes no difference anyway.

I was answering a question!

But we have so much wind generation now, apparently.
Who's idea was it to link it to gas prices?
