Why are people so stupid as to look at the history of capital punishment and the numerous examples of people wrongly or unfairly killed, then go 'yes but this time it would be different and only the really bad people would be killed'.

Given the reported evidence from respected experts she deserves the right of an appeal hearing...
Of course if she were a victim of capital punishment then that would be irrelevant!
But here's another thing to think about...
If an innocent person is put to death, the guilty party gets away with it...
And in Letby's case it could very well be that a state run organisation is at fault not her...
But 'authority' will always be ok with an innocent person being denied justice, because in their eyes they are never wrong!

People get unfairly killed in all sorts of activities (working, flying, sports, driving) yet we carry on doing those activities.
Not after they get killed they don't
He murdered 3 women and raped one of them. So he should have his own back to watch.

There is a weird hierarchy in prison with child rapest and murderers at the bottom, so the person killing Huntly is seen as better. But as a murderer of women he is only 1 place above him and himself is a target from someone who "only" murdered a man.
I wonder if he attacked Huntly as a way of protecting himself so he is now somhow let off/ given a free pass by the other inmates.
The 'cost of doing business' argument. If executing people was vital to our civilisation then maybe. But since it isn't, it is saying that we're choosing to accept we're going to kill innocent people just so we can also kill guilty ones.

Of course he's a hero, in his own mind and in the microcosm of the little prison world that he inhabits.
This is what annoys me about this case, prisoners of this level shouldn't have access to any opportunity to commit more crime. Lock them in solitary if need be, it supposedly happened in a prison workshop, what were they doing in there? It's not like they're going to need any sort of job training for when they are released.
They should die in prison, but old and regretful, not living out silly gangster/hierarchy fantasies.
