Climate Change

Is it ignoring or denying?

Is it more about; what difference will I make by giving up my Diesel van if China doesn't stop its mass polluting industies
China is leading the way on electrification and spending more on it every year than we ever have.

They've dropped their grid intensity from 900 ish to 600 (2020) to 505 (2025) and it is expected to keep falling. They might be cutting not just the intensity but also their actual total volume of CO2 despite growth.

So if your question is: why should we do it if China isn't? Then you would hate the idea of working as hard on it as China is.

Ignorance of facts and denial of reality, plus a "couldn't care less" attitude.
Again this is a lazy Summarisation by you is totally wrong.

When I started my school job Biffa where collecting 3 red waste bins a week.

The local authority where collecting zero blue recycling bins.

That was under the previous Caretakers.

Since I have been there its now:
● 1 Red bin a week
○ 3 Blue recycling ♻️ bins every two weeks.

I order less toilets rolls than the previous caretakers

The tit end of the liquid soap is funneled into hand soap pumps that I collect.

I go round after the teachers have left and turn their heating off and close their windows
They don't use the thermostats if it get to hot, they just open the windows.

I try to up-cycle ♻️ as much as I can.
I make an effort.
Im sorting the class waste bins and recycling bins. Whe the teachers are nor educating the children.

There will be more!

Tell me what you do!

@Dec27

You where right about me playing the wounded fish.

One of my ex customers whos a failed Green party councillor has as massive motor home on her drive sitting beside her diesel Land Rover.

But @warey4life would lord her up.

It's the maximums that I find most surprising. Here in Yorkshire we seem to see 30C+ every summer. Twenty years ago 27C was unusual. It's to do with a weaker jet stream and more easterly winds.

Fine, when there were dinosaurs wandering the planet it was hotter. They didn't worry about global food security and look what happened to them.

Sadly they also did not keep good quality temperature, rainfall, wind, pressure and occlusion measurements, but when it was that hot CO2 was also much higher.
Yep when you have lost the argument -resort to being silly

Is the Jet stream moving down to climate change? Or is thst related to ther things like Elninio

No. This trend is an anomaly.
No it's not and the GISP proved that but climate doomers like to either ignore those findings or attempt to debunk it because it doesn't fit in with their unprecedented never before narrative
No they weren't. Assuming you mean warmth. You've just forgotten the cold gloomy ones.

Yes, your perception is flawed, we have centuries of good quality temperature, rainfall, wind, pressure and occlusion measurements. They say you're wrong.

I identify and resolve inefficient energy use at hospitals, schools, leisure centres, recycling facilities, MOD and HMRC buildings.... At one hospital this year one single issue I have found will save them £250,000 every year when they've resolved it.

At home I recycle nearly everything, plus I take the soft plastics from our community recycling bins down to the local Sainsbury's.
I also picked up a large bin bag full of litter this morning on one stretch of road going out of our village which was dropped there by filthy scum.

In my experience, the most likely reason for teachers opening the windows when it's too hot in their classrooms in the winter is because the school don't maintain their heating plant controls because the maintenance cost is too expensive, but they've got plenty of spare cash to waste on unnecessary gas usage.

Feel scammed yet
No.. I know her enought to know shes a hypocrite. Her boys where alway up to no good, one doing time.

Her husband had enough and left
Got lots of freebies because of her disability including the RR.

But you criticise me!

Should you save your criticism for those who do nothing?

Its a brand new modular school. They have no excuse.

I don't think they know for sure yet. But most likely is that the power of the jet stream is driven by cold weather in the arctic. As the arctic is warming four times quicker than the rest of the planet, the jet stream becomes less powerful and more likely to kink, allowing hot weather to come up from southern Europe and also warm winds from Germany and Western Russia.
