Interpretation of a number plate

I think if you own horses and go a-hunting you are allowed to exchange the last few characters for GGG - laws don't apply to the farming community

Yes, police agreed with my reading and couldn't find any other way to read it.

Checked, number plate doesn't exist.
Spoke to insurance again today and they won't disclose the real number plate.
I told them I won't withdraw the police report because number plates should be unequivocal.
The AV11 is the actual beginning of the reg and that's where apparently I am unable to read it correctly
Actual part of number plate picture attached
Was it a Blue BMW?

The spacing between the A and V doesn’t look right, and whilst it seems to be possible to get an “i” in some circumstances ( Elite Registrations are selling YUI 1501) I can’t see that it would read anything other than AV11 - and thus be the current format for a 2011 onwards vehicle.

If the two 1’s were actual “i”s then you’d have a plate with no numbers, and I don’t think that’s possible.

I bet that if you post the full photo and the model / colour, someone will work it out.

OP - why don’t you send the insurance company your photo?
I did.
They claim that they can't tell me how to read the plate for data protection.
The ignorance of these c#nts knows no limits.
Anyhow, police called today and they're sending a notice of intended prosecution to the fella.
I told them about insurance being complicit in this and they seemed interested in the calls recording, so I sent it to them.
Aiding and abetting apparently.
Worst thing is that as the other party insurance is refusing to deal with this, I'll have to wait for my insurance to contact them and kick their arse.
In the meantime the boss has my car and I'm on foot until it stops raining, then I can use the bike.

what ?
you can't ride in the rain, you big fanny

As above what car was it and did it look to be from 2011?

Could be a villa fan that's doctored the plate a bit or a private plate
