Was it a Blue BMW?Yes, police agreed with my reading and couldn't find any other way to read it.
Checked, number plate doesn't exist.
Spoke to insurance again today and they won't disclose the real number plate.
I told them I won't withdraw the police report because number plates should be unequivocal.
The AV11 is the actual beginning of the reg and that's where apparently I am unable to read it correctly
Actual part of number plate picture attached
I just checked, the letter "I" has never been used on number plates as it's too similar to a number "1".
There's no way to interpret that other than as "AV11".
Unless it's an H and they've been really creative with a white bolt or bit of tape.
NoWas it a Blue BMW?
I did.OP - why don’t you send the insurance company your photo?

what ?I did.
They claim that they can't tell me how to read the plate for data protection.
The ignorance of these c#nts knows no limits.
Anyhow, police called today and they're sending a notice of intended prosecution to the fella.
I told them about insurance being complicit in this and they seemed interested in the calls recording, so I sent it to them.
Aiding and abetting apparently.
Worst thing is that as the other party insurance is refusing to deal with this, I'll have to wait for my insurance to contact them and kick their arse.
In the meantime the boss has my car and I'm on foot until it stops raining, then I can use the bike.

I'm an old man!what ?
you can't ride in the rain, you big fanny
Mystery will be solved today apparently.
Police will call insurance and if no joy they'll invite the driver for an interview.
Hope it's one of those Sweeney-era "interviews" where they chuck him on the floor and all boot him.Mystery will be solved today apparently.
