So a freak one-off victory for Labour then, mostly because people want to get rid of Starmer.

Some good, balanced analysis of the result here...

Labour did well. Reform also increased their share of the vote from last time, despite the competition from Restore.

Tories, Lib Dems and Greens all pretty much vanished.

Amusing that the lefties see Andy Burnham winning this local election as a positive outcome. This will strengthen the outcome and garantee a Reform victory in the next GE. This is the best outcome for Reform ever.

Now we can get the popcorn, sit back and watch the Labour party destroy itself. Hopefully badly enough that they never get elected again.
It’s the toreys who have destroyed themselves -0.2% of the vote yesterday- thanks to Camoron’s dumb referendum.

That is lateral thinking on steroids

Since he is lying, yet again, no.
Turnout was low, 59.7% and only 28.8 million votes. But still above 2001 which was 59.4% and 26.4 million.
Again you have been caught out, you completely miss the fact that there are 11 million more people in the uk in 2024 than 2021 so no the turnout was not higher in 2024 than 2021

which got him elected.
Cameron thought the outcome of the referendum was going to be remain, we'd all fall into line and shut up, as would the Leave faction of his party.

He rolled the dice and lost. Mostly because he went to the EU and asked for concessions that they wouldn't give. So the EU ensured we left in the end.

Nah, I think he genuinely hoped Junker would give him a better deal to convince the country to remain. He got humiliated and it was one of the reasons the vote was tipped Leave.
