I thought, at the time he travelled, that we were told to stay in our main home and local area?It's a bit tricky sacking someone for doing something that isn't illegal.
Should we also be sacking all the council employees who put up signs saying don't come here citing government rules. They were also fibbing and many are still at it.

There is no law preventing you from staying in your second home or travelling as far as you like. You need a legitimate reason to leave your home that is it.
And besides, it's about protecting those around and the NHS, having a sense of decency over 'being in it together'...
Oh well, seems that the Gov are now looking into the fines that people were given breaking lockdown... I shall laugh my arse off if they hand them back!!
