Balls, it's all about degenerates - the worst people in society - getting stoned. The aim of the whole medicinal cannabis racket is to get the stuff legalised so that idiots can stupefy themselves with it. If it were legalised, all the sham medical uses would be forgotten about. You raise some important points about the direction the CBD industry is heading. The growth is largely tied to increasing consumer interest in plant-based wellness products and the expansion of CBD into areas like skincare and nutraceutical formulations. From a formulation perspective, CBD is particularly interesting because it is lipophilic, which allows it to be incorporated into oils, balms, emulsions, and other delivery systems used in personal care and topical products.
Another key factor for the industry will be standardization and quality control. As regulations evolve, requirements such as third-party testing, cannabinoid profiling, and contaminant screening (for pesticides, solvents, and heavy metals) will likely become essential for maintaining product credibility and consumer trust.
It will also be interesting to see how new delivery systems develop. Beyond oils and capsules, technologies like transdermal patches, nanoemulsions, and advanced topical systems could improve bioavailability and product performance. As research continues and regulations become clearer, the CBD sector may move toward more evidence-based and precisely formulated products across multiple industries.

It can't be exploited if it's been legalised.![]()

Alcohol is legal to buy and consume on licenced premises, drugs are sod by criminal gangs and is illegal. What actual justification is there to legalise the sale and the use of drugs?

It has always been legal in the UK since the 18th centurary and doesnt involve criminal gangs running the Breweries. There is a lot of legislation for it through licensing imposing age limits and restrictions etc. The same does not apply to recreational drug taking and would not be easily regulated at this point in its production and distribution network as it stands. What actual justification is there for the sale and the use of alcohol to be legal?

Morals and ethics are also part of it, similar to prostitution being illegal. Maybe you would like to see the UK become more like Amsterdam, I have no use for either vices. So, no rational, scientific, medical, harms-based justification whatsoever.

True, but you don't need to create a new legitimate business to launder money, in fact you'd be daft to do so.Don't be daft - you can't launder money except through legitimate businesses.
