1 of lifes mysteries.

i know its a case of pot and kettle being black, but isnt it Xena?

and why is it spelt with an x?

also with a name like Lucy Lawless, is she trying to tell us some thing?

Xena's a fine sturdy woman.

Shame she bats for the other side.

Is Leeds castle in Leeds?

Is Richmond castle in Richmond?

Is Buckingham Palace in Buckingham?

Why no acrobats and clowns in Piccadilly Circus?

i know its a case of pot and kettle being black, but isnt it Xena?
Yes I stand corrected.

and why is it spelt with an x?
It’s sexier.

also with a name like Lucy Lawless, is she trying to tell us some thing?
Her birth name was Lucille Frances Ryan.
Not quite got the same ring as Lucy Lawless.

Xena's a fine sturdy woman.
You get no argument from me there.

Shame she bats for the other side.
As incredibly exciting as I find that proposition to be, I don’t believe it to be the case.
She has been married twice, both times to men.
Although IMHO there is nothing wrong with any woman batting for the other side occasionally.
Especially after a long day filming Xena when she and Gabrielle go back to that hot sweaty trailer they had to share…

Lawless has a cult following in the lesbian community, largely because of Xena's ambiguous relationship with traveling companion Gabrielle. Although Lawless is heterosexual, she has appeared at gay pride events such as the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. In a 2003 interview with Lesbian News magazine, she said that she had come to see Xena and Gabrielle's relationship as gay after viewing the series finale, though she has also stated on several occasions that she was undecided on the nature of the relationship while playing the role.

I think the same observations can apply to the character of Xena herself (apart from the two marriages).
She became pregnant in Season 5 of Warrior Princess, and that is not a feat she could have achieved with Gabrielle.
The character Xena was essentially heterosexual, like Lawless.
I prefer to think of Gabrielle as her occasional dalliance .
