Most of the evidence points to the wildlife market being the source of Covid 19 but it isn't 100% conclusive.
This leaves space for conspiracy theories and alleged coverups by the Chinese.
It doesn't help when Trump and others seem ambivalent in their response to claims that the virus could have escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan.

So what do you believe then?
It was engineered in Wuhan and then it was released by accident or on purpose? If it was released on purpose why do it so close to home - why not do a false flag operation and start it in Europe or the US?
If it was by accident then how many cases are there of pathogens being released by accident from these types of testing facilities?
All evidence points towards it originated in Wuhan. The virus is RNA based so it can mutate and it probably has been mutating for a while until finally for whatever reason it could infect humans as the Chinese have been eating and selling these animals in those markets for a while.
Unless they end those practices I see this becoming a repeated occurrence.
A political conspiracy but surely they don't get up to things like that.Actually on that front, it does happen. It's infrequent but does happen.

The consensus is that whatever the origin of the virus it must have infected humans through an intermediary, as the genetic signature of the virus is similar to but not identical to any known bat virus's, that should rule out a bat virus escaping from a Lab.

I think I've posted this before, but my bet is that it came from the wet market.
Species that normally do not cross paths were forced together, enabling the established bat coronavirus to be transferred to some intermediate species. It then mutated enough to become the SARS-Cov-2 currently circling the globe.
How it got from the intermediate to the humans, perhaps we'll never find out.
Did it sneeze on the human? Cough? Bleed? Bite the human? Or did the human get it by eating an intermediate?
That's where my tenner is currently sitting.
None of which rules out a release from the bio facility, be it intentional or accidental.

How and why it mutated we may never know - what we do know is - those wet markets and Chinese demand for those animals are a perfect incubator for these types of viruses.
It's happened more than once for us to now agree with some certainty that these practices need to stop and not continue illegally in the future.
Hmm. Either they're being economical with the truth. Again.

Nor does it rule out that the American soldiers brought it to China from the USA. In fact we could spend all evening not ruling out theories and then post them on twitter for gullible Americans (and some daft Brits) to get their teeth into.
We could finish the evening with a cigar and a chat about how the twin towers were brought down by the CIA, how Charlie had Di bumped off and the flatness of the Earth.
