Hello,

I intend to run a spur from a bedroom to the landing (20' total) for the purpose of installing a new double socket for the telephone and hoover. The double socket I plan to run a spur from, already has a spur run off from it to power an outside security light. The question I have is, is it safe to run 2 spurs from a double socket for this purpose?

I have searched through the FAQ section for a similar problem, but was unsuccesful. If anyone could offer any advice or point me in the direction of a suitable FAQ I would be extremely grateful.

Your main problem will be getting four 2.5mm cables into the back of the existing socket, you'll run out of real estate in the back box too. Seen it done but its not pretty.

Better to add the extra socket by extending the ring.

It's the nearest one that I can use anyway. There is one closer but It's a spur from an unknown location.
