You are completely misunderstanding what a closed, and an open mind is. Someone with an open mind, is open to their original assumptions and ideas possibly being wrong. Someone with a closed mind, will turn their back on any new evidence completely - they simply do not want to know, they have their own, entirely fixed ideas.

I have never suggested I believe in aliens, I have only said there is an helluva lot of evidence to support the idea, and common sense suggests, that the universe is so large, and diverse, that it seems most unlikely that there are other lifeforms somewhere, in various stages of advancement. Nobody knows, or could predict how far their tech might have progressed - you can only predict, based on your own level of technology. That is having an open mind!

With those last words, I am unsubscribing from this thread. It is absolute twaddle.
 
I believe in aliens 100%....

There is too much evidence from pilots, navy, airforce, military, scientists etc etc etc.....its overwhelming. Unless you belong to Mr Bias's family!!!!!

But you won't share your evidence, do you not see the problem? Science is happy to be proved wrong, as am I, but I have no idea what evidence you are talking about.

An open mind isn't just believing everything, because everything could be possible in the future. That's just nuts.

They'd reconsider their assumptions when they discover that the Egyptians were moving rocks five times larger than the largest in the Great Pyramids using the same tools the Romans did.

They'd re-evaluate when they discover that drilling through Granite can be done with copper and abrasives.

They'd think when carbon dating showed their assumptions about the creation of the pyramids were wrong.

You don't have an open mind, you've got a mind that latched onto an idea and you don't like to think about if you're wrong.

But, if the account is to be believed as genuine, it was not written with the benefit of hindsight.
In other words, if they hadn't seen it for themselves, they'd have had to had a fertile imagination to conjure up methods that had yet to be conceived, let alone practiced.
