When American families are grieving for their shot loved ones, the gun nuts (and Trump) offer them thoughts and prayers.

It would be nice if American families had the chance to offer gun nuts thoughts and prayers when they lose their guns.

Why don't the young just not buy guns at all then, eventually, no civilians will have any.
No need for what would be a monumental change in their Constitution.

Fact is, enough of them want guns (somewhere between a third and a half of them, depending which source you refer to), regardless of the repeated massacres.

US schools already have armed security at school entrances. But the sentry will tend to have a holstered side arm as a deterrent. Any determined gunman can easily take out this sentry and get in through the front door. A layered defence is the only way to stop a gunman entry, ie an armed sentry conducting bag searches at the school gates and a second sentry at school building entrance. But even this will not stop the killing as the gunman will just massacre the kids queuing up at the gates.

hmm.. Well I've never really had it satisfactorily explained to me. The second amendment makes no reference to guns per se . And to paraphrase is the right to bear arms for the purpose of a well regulated militia. ... I can't see how that equates to personal gun ownership?

Nosey, I wish you were better informed. It's hard work for others. To the liberals who live in the prosperous areas, London is a diverse and culturally enriched paradise. Meanwhile, back in the real world, the areas inhabited by those from the third world experience ever increasing violent crime. Gang warfare, shooting, stabbing, acid attacks, etc, etc - the statistics for the numbers of these crimes climb ever upwards.

Don't worry though. What happens in London today will blight the rest of the UK tomorrow. You can thank the liberals for that, as they rarely suffer the consequences of their dangerous social experiments.
