Anti-immigrant voters clarify what they mean

What about Taxi drivers from Taiwan should they have the unrestricted right to settle in Taunton along with their extended families or electricians from Ethiopia be allowed to settle in Ealing without restriction.
Well that's what the UK is gonna get when those 'miraculous' world trade deals are negotiated...

Trade means free movement, otherwise no deal...

There are big countries and there are little countries...

And there are also countries that think they are big, but then find out that on the world stage they are much smaller than they ever imagined ;)

Who will be the first to tell vinty that Taiwan is not in the EU?

Poor vinty is so ignorant that he does not even understand EU citizens moving inside the EU for work are not migrants.
I already know that Taiwan is not in the EU thank you.
Do you believe that one group of migrants should get preferential treatment over another ,if you do then you are a racist.

Trade doesn't mean free movement of people, it means free movement of goods and services.
Does America have to allow the unrestricted right of settlement to the citizens of the multitude of countries it trades with.
FFS LOL.

No, but they are big enough to dictate terms or threaten to build walls - the UK is unable to do either...

But given your 'wisdom' on such matters, you will no doubt be able to explain why any mention of an immigration cap has been recently removed from UK government policy? :)

The world today is a very complicated place, it is no wonder there is a yearning for the past among a lot of people.
It was a lot simpler years ago, Britain had the biggest and best navy in the world to protect its trade with other countries any other country like France who tried to muscle in on Britain's patch got their ships sunk, simples.
Any country that didn't want to do business with Britain got bombarded until they put up a white flag and bought British goods ,this practical attitude to business kept the factories in the UK running 24/7.
These days the world is full of lawyers and people who think they know their rights, there is nowhere in the world today you can do anything without some smart Alec with a mobile phone ready to take comprising pictures of whatever you are up to and upload them onto You tube.
Years ago the strong countries could flatten countries like Yemen and the public treated the returning troops like hero's nowadays the liberal loonies want prosecutions not heros.
Once the UK is out of the EU it should go back to what it did best ,it worked before and it could work again.

I think that is his point? Why should someone from outside the EU be treated any differently from someone in the EU.

Why should someone from outside Essex be treated any differently from someone in Essex?

What if they come from Durham? Or Swansea? Or Aberdeen? Or Stuttgart? What if you have a two-way agreement that people who are not migrants can move to one place to the other, under certain conditions, for work?

Whilst keeping it's collective tongue firmly in it's collective cheeks (y)

Can someone tell John that Essex is in the EU!

So is Stuttgart

Possibly not Durham.

MOD: Rather unsurprisingly this thread is going nowhere, apart from the locked bin.
