Apple pies without nuts or nut traces and without dairy

I heard Aldi individual apple pies were milk-free but are they nut-free too?

I'd like to find some decent-priced pies like this, not the inflated price "Free From" ranges where you get fewer pies and pay twice as much....

Make your own? Most stuff off the conveyor belt in food factories don't promise products without contamination of nuts. If you make your own (diary free pastry) then you know exactly what you're getting

Depends on whether you have a nut allergy or just don't like them
I buy products for a vegan girlfriend so read labels closely

Even moo free Easter eggs will have a cover all warning "made in a factory that handles hazelnuts "
They are 100% chocolate suitable for vegans but need to protect themselves

There was a kid who died recently because someone threw a piece of cheese at him. A building where I worked had a notice on the door banning any nut product from being in the building due to someone with an allergy

Don't agree with that.

If you go down that road then you could end up not allowing any food whatsoever in the building. And nobody there allowed to use perfume or aftershave, or scented deodorant or soap.

aren't you supposed to expose children to peanuts at around 3 months old? I'm sure there are far more people around now with allergies. When I were a young un, we played in dirt, I didn't know any kid with allergies... well I suppose my hayfever excepted.

Hayfever is supposedly a modern allergy. Apparently it wasn't a problem way back when. Something to do with the amount of pollen in the atmosphere then and now.
I saw it on some history programme.

Not sure, think hayfever has been around since I can remember, thankfully it's eased up as I've got older. Irony of ironies I'm allergic to antihistamines!

I was brought up in a rural setting, constantly played outside, and never had a sniff of hay-fever.
Started work in Birmingham, at 18, in September, and got hay-fever the following May.
I reckon the pollution triggered it.
