I have a wad of Certificates that say I'm qualified to do my job. Refers to the holder as a Operative, but also qualified in Domestic Natural Gas Maintenance, LPG qualifications, Unvented etc.

Whats the big issue of been refereed to as a Engineer or Technician.

I call my self both a technician and engineer. Do I have to correct customer when I walk into their homes?

Do I suspect someone with a degree is getting hoity toity over how we're refereed to?

Oh and I work for BG

Some people ask how long have I worked for 'The Board'. no need to correct them as I've only work for BG since it was privatised.
