I should add that we have a dual flush syphon flush (turbo 88), which works well.
The very same as my two.

I was wondering that. How is 4 litres of syphoned water more efficient than 2 litres of water delivered through a valve?I don't get it. My two are both syphon flushes and dual flushes. The dual flush simply allows the operator of the flush a choice of a full or part flush.
A valve based dual flush will eventually leak, and initially, you probably won't even know its happening. Such a system could lose about 50L per day and most people won't even notice. A syphon flush cannot do this.

The water-saving device wasting billions of litres every week
Low flush toilets often waste more water than they save due to poor engineering and confusing buttons.www.bbc.co.uk

I fitted Dymo labels next to the flush handle.

Up here we pay water via council tax. My 25/26 charge for water is £280, waste water charge £320.The latest increase in our water rates has taken it up to £62 a month - and currently we are £59 in credit. Before the meter was fitted in 2022, we were paying £64.27. I have no idea what it would be if we were still on rates based billing.
