Went to this today which wasn't working.

When i got there it went through start up sequence, power to the gas valve but no ignition and couldn't hear sparking. Reset just to try a second time and....BANG. Mini gas explosion inside the fan, shooting a puff of smoke out the air inlet. Nearly had a heart attack at 21!

This is what i found in the CC.

Was obstructing gas to the spark electrode until it completly filled the CC.

Looks like £150 for a new burner then..

We had a Suprima with the rear heat deflector thingy fall on the burners - that lit with a bang too

i dont think i have ever opened one of these up to not find the burner cracked.

never seen one as bad as that though

I know I am out of touch with Baxi's but I'm sure the last 130 HE combi I fitted had one of those fancy ceramic burners that you can only blow clean!

That looks more like a solo 3 type he with a fan under it.

Or as usual am I totally wrong??
