Budget

Only if it can continue to sell in a market where no-one's buying.

But let's blame the budget because, that's labour !

Yes, by cutting costs and laying off staff. Add the effects of the budget to that and it becomes a doom loop.
If a business can make money by having an employee then they will still employ.

Any business that is struggling because of a rise in minimum pay isn't doing that well.

I've seen a lot worse than this, haven't you ?

Its a pity our economy wasn't stronger before labour got in

If you think it's all down to this budget then you carry on thinking that. The truth is much different.

Apparently the tax code is 22000 pages long

Largest / biggest tax code in the world

Jeez us wept

Country is drowning in pencil pushers / paper shufflers and consultants / administrators

Churning out yet more rules and regs and BS
And interestingly.

The tax rules are written up (and well understood by) the big 3 or 4 accounting companies. PwC is 1 such.

They want the rulebook to be big and complex.

The whole tax system needs a complete change, but it's not going to happen, the big boys don't want it to .

Rachel has increased all housing rents by 2% in the budget---- well done Rachel

It is interesting that Brexit supporters are moaning about increases in minimum wage for British workers.

They claimed to have voted for Brexit to stop “cheap foreign labour”…..and were applauding lorry drivers getting more money.

But when British workers get more money, they don’t like it.
