Not had a pet for years, but when I was young we had a rough old mongrel, during a visit to my nan he was in his usual spot under the sofa when the doctor called, he was checking her for appendicitis and when he poked her in the wrong spot she exclaimed in pain, Bob was up hackles raised teeth bared protecting his family

All along I have said that nearly all problems regarding dogs can be solved with proper training. This is why guide dogs don't bite, jump, pull etc. If it's their nature to jump, bite, attack whatever, why is it that guide dogs don't? I'll give you a clue, starts with a 'T' and ends in an 'ing'.
Ah, so you now expect every dog (irrespective of breed and temperament) to be trained to guide dog standards by a member of the public in order to avoid any incidents?

Do you realise how much intensive professional training that takes?

You really are living in cloud cuckoo land...

Because your 'example' is laughable if you believe any dog can be trained to that same extent!

PS. Just trying to imagine a rottweiler or a pitbull as a guide dog

I'm not sure he said that.

I didn't, not even close.. But Ellal likes to make stuff up to suit his argument.
I ain't the one suggesting that dogs should all be wonderfully trained by their owners regardless of their ability to do so in order that 'uneducated' young children don't 'cause' dogs to turn on them...

And if they do turn, then go on to blame the children's parents!

You truly have a warped sense of responsibility!
