Not if you're the first from a family and are awaiting the outcome of your application. Family members x,y,z might still head to the UK because one of their own managed to get here, albeit maybe approval pending.

The UK needs to be fit a proper country to help those that need our help. If we become as unstable as those country's then we are no use to anyone.

As for Poland they are just doing the decent thing in helping their neighbour. Full well knowing they may well be the next country Russia invades, then it'll be the Polish that needs refuge.
