No, it has been proven, some people disagree that the earth is an oblate spheroid as well.
Depends what you mean by prove. There are plenty of sceptics out there. And on what you're trying to prove - the reality of global warming, how much of it is man-made, what the effects might be etc etc
Every reputable scientist now accepts that the earth is warming. That is always the starting point.
We know that human activity has greatly increased the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. I don't think that there is any scientist who still disputes that.
Instruments in space and in various locations on earth show that this carbon dioxide is trapping heat and re-emitting that heat back down to the earth's surface. I don't think any scientist still disputes that.
The main disputes now are over what the effect of the warming will be. Are we going to see positive feedback loops which accelerate the warming and make any effects worse.
Agreed, that's much what I said. I'm not much of a sceptic, but I'm definitely one on Ed millibands agenda. I don't agree with cutting our own throats with energy prices several times other countries, and reducing our emissions by losing our industries (and jobs) to other countries which likely produce more CO2 than we would. For negligible impact on emissions globally.
Just in LBC radio right now talking about teenage kids anxiety. They mentioned COVID and social media but missed that we have scared them s£itless telling them that the world is burning and they have no future because climate change.
Teenagers have always had anxiety.
What's changed is that now, it is some of the supposed grown ups are pizzing their keks over said teenagers' anxiety
That's a bad idea. Food will go off. And it probably won't save you very much.
