Death in the channel…again

I actually think he thinks it's due to Brexit and nothing to do with well established international people trafficking gangs based in Turkey, Kurdistan and Albania... and now London.

Anyone (apart from a few exceptions) who arrives via small boat, illegally etc. No longer has a right to claim asylum in the UK. We discussed this last time - it's in the Illegal Migration Act 2023. So I am correctly referring to them as illegal immigrants.

Clauses 2-10 of the illegal migration bill mean The UK will not determine the refugee claims of such people on the assumption that it will instead remove them to a ‘safe third country’

but the U.K. has no legal way to send asylum seekers to a ‘safe third country’

and even if the Rwanda scheme was legal:
A) it only provides for 200 a year
B) it allows a reciprocal arrangement

All you are doing Motorbiking is repeating the lies of the Conservative government.…..I thought you were better than happily tying yourself up in knots defending their illegal “Illegal migration bill”

People voted for Brexit to stop immigration.

You are now saying: they were completely wrong, Brexit wouldnt stop immigration

If they want to come and contribute to the economy - there are many ways to do it:

paying trafficking gangs is not the right way.
Conservative MP propaganda answer

it is a smug and dishonest answer

there are no ways for people escaping war or persecution to get here….but you know that

And you know the sad part, knowing people who work with these people, is that those who risk everything in order to get here generally are far more invested in forging a life for themselves and contributing to the economy
yeah but they are all lazy scroungers who only come here because “it’s the land of milk and homey’

I heard it on GBnews so it must be true

@Notch7
I am not defending it [its law not a bill btw].. and I'm not going to explain it either.. I am correctly referring to people who come here via small boats as Illegal Immigrants. That is what they are. There is nothing illegal about the Illegal Migration Act 2023 it is also phased.

I don't believe the UK has/had 17.5M racist xenophobes who voted leave because they hate foreigners or want fewer people coming here. I think many saw the EU for what it is. A bloated corrupt money pit that serves Euro members above everyone else.

I don't believe people fleeing war need to travel 5000 miles to the UK to reach safety. I believe we should assist the nearest safe neighbour to help them. We need to destroy the trafficking gangs. If we did we could send millions to help people overseas.

Not me I saved 20% VAT and got rid of several EU jobs in my firm replacing them with hard working UK residents. I would have been happy with BRINO though.

No, they are not illegal immigrants.
You are simply wrong.

The bill is illegal

it can’t be a law as it can’t be implemented

If you think it is a law then please show me where all those arriving by small boat have been arrested and put in jail

So Brexit only helped the wealthy

how did it save you 20% VAT, businesses don’t pay VAT

So you are saying EU workers were lazy, only U.K. workers are hard working.
