Do Britons deserve extra time off?

a national day off to coincide with the last day of school, so all parents can be around to pick kids up at the end of term. That would work for me - that's all that's important!
But first you'd have to work out what the last day of all schools should be and get them all to agree.

Mind you, 'cooper day' does have a nice sound to it!

can*

I assume you mean can't?

This country is more divided than it has been in ages - because 'some loons' persuaded a large percentage of the population that 'immigrants'
are the root of all evil and the symbol of 'St George' should rise again!

F ucking muppets!

I think it's obscene and appauling that you think you can call the majority of people in this country racist and xenophobic for finally standing up and saying no to unfettered mass immigration. So many tens of millions of immigrants taken into this tiny island but no it's still not good enough for you socialists.

poor old hawk piles up the falsities.

I wonder where he gets his misinformation from?

You really do like to show off your ignorance don't you!

Not to mention the fact that you continually make stuff up!

I'm no 'socialist', but why do you hate them so much?

PS. Immigration will continue, despite all those people 'finally standing up'*. It'll just be from different countries ;)

*PPS. I don't think all those people 'finally standing up' had a clue what they were doing :ROFLMAO:

I wonder if things would've been different if

a, EU members weren't given a free pass to the UK as well as much higher immigration than normal running up to the referendum.
b, The UK government hadn't admitted it didn't know how many illegal immigrants were living in the UK
c, The press hadn't been full of scandalous stories about 'foreigners' and their rights to receive benefits. Not to mention the footage of all those at Calais, desperately trying to get into the UK.
d, The Brexit referendum wasn't held in times of austerity and us all hearing or experiencing cuts to jobs, NHS etc.

As I see it, immigration was seen as a problem by MP's, the press and the many ordinary folk in the UK, right or wrong. Perhaps it shouldn't have been allowed to be an issue in the first place...

I am in agreement with Hawkeye, to call those who voted leave racist is narrow-minded which, interestingly, is what a lot of people here accuse the 'leavers' as. Perhaps you should look at your own inadequacies in attitude towards your fellow man. All this RWR, LWR shi t. Grow up FFS.

I voted remain.

The Bolshevik Revolution as well as Hitler's Third Reich started with reactionary socialism. You are a socialist.

St Georges flag is a symbol of national pride and solidarity. That's what it represents to white British people. To you it represents intolerance and racism.

Mass immigration is not wanted in Britain and it will NOT continue as the people HAVE and WILL stand up.

If St.George had ever set foot in England, he would have been an immigrant.
Nice one. I had forgotten that St George never visited England. Except that he was not St George when he was alive.
So it means that England has a foreigner as its patron saint.

Another appealing promise just for votes to go with all the other pie in the sky promises of more money and more jobs and more of everything.

Personally I don't see the point of those extra four days, as if (God forbid) Agent Cob gets into power the hit on the economy will mean that everyone will be spending more time out of work anyway when businesses close down or move abroad and we are catapulted back to the 70's.

Could this be the problem?

How many tens of millions of immigrants do you think there are?

There are only six tens of millions total people.

The population has grown disproportionately over the past 20 years from what was a relatively stable number previously of around 56 million. That's an increase of over 15% in 20 years.

All that massive increase has not included a corresponding increase in tax income for the government, rather it has caused a massive drain on the revenues to pay for the free housing, free health care, free schooling, free everything to support all and sundry who manage to scramble across the channel in search of that pot of gold.
