I'm confused. Currently, my phone, computer and bedside clock all read 11:29.

Now, the bedside clock is radio controlled and should have adjusted itself. But if windows vista is going to change itself, would it please tell me!!! As in previous editions of windows?!

And as for my phone, how does it know?

IMO if they are going to program things to change time themselves, they need to tell us about it. What if we did abolish daylight savings, software would have to be re-written across the world.

Vista uses internet time sync, as did every version of XP apart from the first edition of it. Earlier versions of Windows were hard coded to update times if you selected UK as the region.

Your phone probaby gets its time from the network (as my blackberry does)
