I notice it is the lead story on the national news because it has snowed in london.

There was barely a mention when it were 6 foot deep wi' snow up north 6 weeks or so ago

That's because on the rare occasions when it snows in London it IS news, when it snows in the north, it's just winter!

When the temperature gets into the mid-20s in Scotland they always make special mention of it even in the local news in London, so I guess it works both ways.

I've seen people with little peep holes in their windows to see out of. What is it about this weather that makes people act stupidly?

I saw someone today & my jaw geniunely dropped: She was driving along with all windows completely covered in snow, including the windscreen. There was a tiny thin strip of glass visible just below the roofline & I could see she was straining to look out.

yep i agree there is some right muppets out there,yesterday was just about to pull out of a side road and looked right and suddenly i saw a WHITE escort van completly covered in snow WITH NO BL00DY LIGHTS ON.WHAT A TW@T.

BBC Radio Cambridgeshire reporting was nobbled

On Thursday I was amazed that they were actually saying not to go to work!
This is the first time I have ever known this.

I think the presenter got taken into a room and given a severe telling off.
On the Friday there was no such message so people assumed it must now be safe to go to work.
It was worse conditions than the Thursday and we all had to close up and go home an hour later.

Thank you very much BBC for pandering to the complaining bosses!
We all did unnecessary dangerous journeys because of this.

Well that could mean three drivers will pass their tests knowing how to drive in adverse weather conditions.

In London on Monday there were no buses or trains.
it now turns out they have been told to take the day as unpaid leave or 1 days holiday.

However the Uniion leader (Bob Crow) said they may have to take industrial action as they think they should not have their pay deducted.

Bob then went on to say (after being asked does that mean a strike) they can not strike for one day about not being paid for one day, because they would not get paid for one day.

I thought that was funny.

the latest is BOJO has said they will get paid. and he (BOJO) did say ON LBC that the congestion charge would not apply for Monday, and conditions are bad so dont travel unless you have to.
