Hi, I have 240V downlighters fitted in the ceiling of our off-shot kitchen. They are fitted in the plaster board but above is a void which is relatively open to the elements (no rain but the breeze is evident). I've cut large spaces in the rockwool insulation so we have limited fire risk, but over time exposure to the atmosphere has caused the contacts to tarnish and the bulbs to fail.
I've come across several fire hoods available for about 10 quid, but they seem over the top for what I'm after. Are the other none fire type hoods available or is there something else I could construct easily to do the job?
Many thanks,
Nick
