Eds guide to bexit

Well let's face it, it's not going well is it. So here's a suggestion. We take on board everything the EU has to offer, which is mainly good but don't offer automatic freedom to reside here. Details of course to be trashed out but surely a lot easier than this crap we are going through.

automatic freedom to reside here.

That's not one of the EU's Four Freedoms.

If you mean

"Free movement of workers
One of the four freedoms enjoyed by EU citizens is the free movement of workers. This includes the rights of movement and residence for workers, the rights of entry and residence for family members, and the right to work in another Member State and be treated on an equal footing with nationals of that Member State. Restrictions apply in some countries for citizens of new Member States. The rules on access to social benefits are currently shaped primarily by the case law of the Court of Justice."

then we will not be offered "everything the EU has to offer" because they don't offer cherry-picking. So no membership of the single market, for example.

This Brexit really has been a mess from day one.

This could have all been avoided if both sides just stuck to genuine facts during the voting campaign instead of making up nonsense to win votes. £350 extra for the NHS a week? Remaining in Single Market? You lying little so and so's.....

"£350 extra a week for the NHS" would definitely make a few headlines ;)

I don't remember anybody promising extra money every week for the NHS.

[...dive...]

I reckon Brexit will only happen in name only, in practical terms anyway....

The politicians don't really want it, those in charge don't really want it, a big chunk of the electorate don't really want it.

We should have it though - the harder the better. Teach those left wing morons a lesson. Bring on Armegeddon Brexit.

If we whisper it, do you think we will get away with it.
What ever gave you that idea. All the anti-EU Tory Boo Boys seem to be smiling.

No one promised £350 mill for the NHS.. they were two individual statements on the same bus... It seems that the remainiac can't read to well... Or they read what they want to see

Generally speaking and with the notable exception of you, I find that lefties to be pretty useless people.. they go to work, produce nothing and demand more control over their employer and more pay for their worthless job.. Many of the useful labour supporters are supporters of "Labour leave" and have little time for Corbyn and his commies... Perhaps you are really a brexiteer but just like to stir the pot a little

that's just an emollient rumour being spread to keep people quiet in the hope that a transitional arrangement might postpone the crash.

"It is not clear why Brussels should agree to such an arrangement, which will seem to the member states to be a form of reward to a member state that is leaving because it no longer wishes to pay the subscription or accept the obligations attached to membership.

The EU does not have a frictionless customs border with any country outside the single market or customs union. Indeed, Michel Barnier, the EU commission’s chief negotiator, confirmed last week that such an arrangement was not logically possible and the bloc has not so far allowed any country to obtain the benefits of the internal market or the customs union without imposing obligations in the form of obedience to EU laws."

Do you remember how none of the quitters would say which of the four possible options they wanted?
That's because none of them are good.

Good trick. Convinced many Quitters. I wonder if the electorate will fall for that one again.

The hilarious thing is, that the campaign winning slogan was false on both counts. £350 million was never going to the NHS because the correct sum was only half that amount.

Convinced many Quitters.

At least 2% of the dumb voters were influenced. Enough to tip the result.

If it hadn't been a vote-winner, the Quitters wouldn't have pushed their lie so hard.
