Thank you for posting the video, Ive watched about 10mins, Ill try and look at the rest -but it is over an hour.

The questions really come down to whether Tusk was actually offering a deal rather than part of EU media spin, afterall Tusk was not Brexit negotiator, that was Barnier.

The deal mentioned was a type of Canada deal. The poont you argue depends on the suitability of such a deal and how it compares.

My initial inderstanding is:
It would require a hard Irish border
It would require hard borders between UK and EU with checks, rules of origin etc
It doesnt cover services

well it makes a nice change to have a calm measured response on here , rather than the snide ,child like insults from the usual suspects , I doubt you will change my POV , nor will I change yours , that said there are to many draw backs to staying in the EU , they can not be trusted , I know it is hard to believe but they lie more than ellal , for instance before the vote to leave anyone that said the EU wanted an army were shouted down as lying , yet just after the vote the EU said they were forming an EU army , I do not want my kids/grandkids conscripted into an army where Brits are sent to police Germany and Germans are sent to police Britain etc for obvious reasons , there is also the huge amounts of money sent to and wasted by the EU while we have thousands of ex service men on the streets , I could go on but I am sure you get my drift .

I was just asking.

there are to many draw backs to staying in the EU ,

they can not be trusted ,

I know it is hard to believe but they lie more than ellal ,

for instance before the vote to leave anyone that said the EU wanted an army were shouted down as lying ,

yet just after the vote the EU said they were forming an EU army ,

I do not want my kids/grandkids conscripted into an army where Brits are sent to police Germany and Germans are sent to police Britain etc for obvious reasons

One example...
there is also the huge amounts of money sent to and wasted by the EU

while we have thousands of ex service men on the streets ,

...implies that the EU contributions are preventing caring for ex-servicemen.

I am sure the two are not connected - so is the rest true?

Perhaps without the EU contributions we could have bought Harry and Meghan a bigger house.

Interesting riposte.

Conscripted. Lol

If we get to conscription then that means we are up against a serious enemy so now you get cold feet defending the UK.

How do you think joint NATO command works? The EU Army will replicate a lot of what NATO does so its more a pipe dream than anything likeky to happen.

Resorting to insults is a clear indication a person has lost the argument.

Can you provide a sensible, considered counter argument?
Or would like to gracefully admit you are wrong.
Oh behave I'm poking a bit of fun haven't you seen pink panther. Wasnt calling you an idiot it's what he says...
These quotes who are these fictitious characters you refer to with these collective thoughts.. I dont know anyone with those opinions maybe its you're over active imagination just saying....

So you blame the EU because the UK cannot look after its ex servicemen.

Did the EU privatise their living accomodation or their recruitment ?

Of course Ive seen the pink panther.
But you posted that as an attack on me to divert from answering.
You are welcome to be as rude as you like, Im only interested in the reason.

You have look far:
Fillyboy said this: I think the eu is trying to create division

Are you seriously saying you havent heard anybody say the break up of Great Britian is a price worth paying for Brexit?

Yougov poll:
Asked whether they would rather avert Brexit if it would lead to Scotland or Northern Ireland breaking away from the UK, respectively 63% and 59% of party members would be willing to pay for Brexit with the breakup of the United Kingdom

As to NATO, Trump wants to destroy that.

http://www.businessinsider.com/nato...a-nyonoksa-blast-because-trump-sources-2019-8

However, NATO has felt incapable of taking a hard line with President Vladimir Putin over his weapons program in part because of US President Donald Trump's troublingly friendly approach to Russia, three NATO officials told Insider.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/14/us/politics/nato-president-trump.html

WASHINGTON — There are few things that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia desires more than the weakening of NATO, the military alliance among the United States, Europe and Canada that has deterred Soviet and Russian aggression for 70 years.

Last year, President Trump suggested a move tantamount to destroying NATO: the withdrawal of the United States.

Senior administration officials told The New York Times that several times over the course of 2018, Mr. Trump privately said he wanted to withdraw from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization

Filly et al must be Russian Bots.

If I remember correctly, It was because of the US (Trump and his anti-Europe rhetoric in particular) that the idea of a European protective force was mentioned.

Its the continual twisted logic of Brexiteers.

They get all upset when there is talk of a European force, but are quite happy for NATO which is bankrolled by the USA for self interest.
