flex thickness

elrobbo,

What is the definition of an exposed conductive part?

an exposed conductive part is a conductive part of the wiring system that may become live under fault conditions off the top of my head so probably wrong. as the braiding makes up part of the cable is this omitted? are the armoring's on a SWA omitted? what about the gland of the SWA that attaches to a metal cu or accessory?

would be helpful to know.

thanks

Yes, talking about getting back on topic, what do the cable manufacturers say is the method of preparing this cable?

I'm not even sure the braid is metalic, looks similar to the stuff you used to get on irons.

I've been waiting for someone to notice that :-)

Although the product description doesn't help much, the title of the eBay listing refers to 'PVC overbraiding', which might be a clue!

Kind Regards, John.

where is starspark's post with the link to the SWA exposed conductive parts gone?
