Got my invite for the covid 19 jab today

For the moment, it's quite handy that some of them don't want the AstraZeneca vaccine, because it reduces the complaints that the UK is unfairly getting more than anyone else.

Unfortunately, such disinformation will lead to avoidable deaths, not only in the EU but also in the UK.

Blood clots reported in Germany were from a younger generation

the UK have not started vaccinating that age group at this moment in time ???

dunno

they spoke about this on the radio this evening ??????

All the trials that first took place, were with the younger generation.

UK scientists, have already stated that vaccinated people had less blood clots, than they otherwise would have had.

Perhaps so, but if there (say) 800 million people, and 5 million doses, the vast majority will not be protected next week. Even more so as there are, in fact, 8 billion people.

If the doses were spread more equitably, and given to the most vulnerable first, the number of avoidable deaths would be minimised. This is unlikely to happen.

By an amazing chance, even in countries with good supplies, the more prosperous districts are getting higher rates of vaccination than the poorer districts. Who could have seen that coming?

I agree, there should be an equitable share out Worldwide to minimise deaths.

But with 9 out of 10 deaths related to obesity, do we look after America first..............:rolleyes:

In Manchester the areas with the lowest uptake have the largest BAME/University population, mainly white inner city areas have a large uptake, hopefully that will improve as we need as many as possible to be vaccinated.
