Have you watched any good movies ?

Sound of freedom very watchable film and as for the nut jobs in here saying its all conspiracy theories it is nothing of the sort . It is just telling the story of a fathers heartache about having his kids kidnapped .

Denzel W. and Remi Malek trying to out-cool* each other in 'The Little Things'. The killer clue is right there under your nose through the whole movie; see if you can spot it.

*Denzel won, obviously.

Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. Very funny animation that crams in so many scenes from other movies you can have a fun game trying to name them - your starter for 10 is picking out the Bond set the chicken farm is based on. A not-so subtle critique of the fast food industry's treatment of chickens runs throughout but doesn't get in your face to spoil the show. Enjoy.

Watched The Green Mile yesterday evening, both seen it a few times before, but always worth a watch.

There's a new film called 'the bikeriders' loosely inspired by the 'Chicago Outlaws', starring Tom Hardy and Austin Butler.

Was due out last summer, then release delayed till this month, then distribution pulled from Disney, now scheduled to be released in June 2024.

Wtf.

12 Mighty Orphans - The true story of the Mighty Mites, the football team of a Fort Worth orphanage who, during the Great Depression, went from playing without shoes, or even a football, to playing for the Texas state championships. Over the course of their winning season, these underdogs and their resilient spirit became an inspiration to their city, state, and an entire nation in need of a rebound, even catching the attention of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The architect of their success was Rusty Russell, a legendary high school coach who shocked his colleagues by giving up a privileged position so he could teach and coach at an orphanage. Few knew Rusty's secret: that he himself was an orphan. Recognizing that his scrawny players could not beat the other teams with brawn, Rusty developed innovative strategies that would come to define modern football.

It’s unusual to see a good US movie where people don’t get shot .
Jerry and Marge go large is a good film to watch like that: Bryan Cranston and Anette Benning play the lottery in a small town in Michigan where nobody dies or even says a bad word. A feelgood fillum that has a metaphor running through the narrative of the difference between Wall Street and Main Street. Catch it on Film4.

Is that the one where they work out how to beat the lottery and get all the town onside, buying tickets all over the place? Based on a true story if it’s the one I’m thinking of.

That's the one. I loved the logo his g.daughter drew up after one of the marketing nuts whanged on about it. :D
