Help replacing Honeywell thermostat with a Salus RT300 RF

Thanks again - no trouble at all Dave, ok it is a Valiant Turbomax plus Combi boiler.

The salus stat i have is just a stat, it is not programmable as i did want to keep the honeywell timer.

Thanks

Sorry but after looking in the instruction book its not possible to connect to the existing stat wiring.

But why not put the receiver next to the boiler then there would be no problem with a new piece of cable.

If the boiler is between kitchen units the receiver can be mounted on top of the cupboards so it is out of the way.

David.

Thanks Dave, yes i will do that and wire it up to the timer, and leave the old stat in place dormant :)

Thanks everyone for your help - much appreciated

Ross,

The receiver needs to be wired from the boiler not the programmer, there are contacts on the boiler for this. these are shown in the instruction book.

If you are not confident about this, be safe and get a professional in.
