I showed you.Could you show me the untrue allegation?
John would love to see us as a nation of drug users and turn pubs into drug dens.

You seem to be conflating observations of the consequences for decriminalisation with a personal endorsement of that policy. A common mistake you make consistently when it comes to an actual discussion rather than a glib thread full of irrelevance to the actual topic.JohnD said:
You are wrong.
Organised crime would not longer profit from it.
It could be taxed
Public safety would be improved by controlling purity and strength
Sales could be regulated in licenced premises.
I don't know why you pretend you weren't told already

Of course it is my personal view, other views may differ, what is your point? You seem to be conflating observations of the consequences for decriminalisation with a personal endorsement of that policy. No, you claimed Johnny D. was in favour of turning pubs into drug dens when he said nothing of the kind. That's not an opinion, it's flat out wrong.Of course it is my personal view, other views may differ, what is your point?

Read his post, John often gets his words wrong and gets mine wrong too.No, you claimed Johnny D. was in favour of turning pubs into drug dens when he said nothing of the kind. That's not an opinion, it's flat out wrong.
Already done. You are wrong.Read his post, John often gets his words wrong and gets mine wrong too.

correct. It was clear what he wrote. There is of course no evidence that legalising and controlling weed reduces organised crime, they simply move on.Read his post, John often gets his words wrong and gets mine wrong too.

Your opinion only. You are welcome to it and it is not often that you are right but you are wrong again.Already done. You are wrong.
There is evidence it does so, but government is too scared to prove the claim with a nationwide policy.correct. It was clear what he wrote. There is of course no evidence that legalising and controlling weed reduces organised crime, they simply move on.

exactlyI knew a faily senior copper who was obsessed with legalising canabis because it would lead to crime reduction. I couldn't get through to him that crime is like any other business, and that I would rather have people killing themselves with drugs than - for example - maffia style kidnapping for ransome.
No what the studies show, is that one type of crime is reduced and then as if by magic, another increases. There is evidence it does so, but government is too scared to prove the claim with a nationwide policy.
Such as, what, black market ciggies?exactly

Have you figured out what else can be a licensed premises yet?Odds thinks that if you make the drugs legal then all of the criminal gangs will go on the dole or get jobs.
