You can change like for like.

Or just stick a plug on the end.

As said Not met a spark yet that can wire a boiler and controls without having to be told how.

Fixed equipment must be wired to a FCU (BS7671)

Manufactures instructions also denote fixed equipment MUST be wired to a DOUBLE POLE Fused Connection Unit. How does a plug top possibly comply?????

A plug is fine, now who should read the regs.

And I'm not self employed, but I know more about Boiler electrics and controls than you ever will in the next 50 years.

We have so called sparks on site, but we have to give them a line drawing and test the system works as it's designed to.

Bottom line, what are you trying to achieve?

answer?

That all RGI installers must be Part P registered to do their own electrical work.

Simple.

Simple, great, so how do you propose to achieve that?

The RGI would go on a course to achieve Part P status and register with a domestic installer scheme, like NICEIC , Elecsa, etc.

and are you a qualified electrician? Would you be happy losing work to RGI's?

Nope it's in the MI's and they take preference.

I would guarantee it, I would also guarantee you couldn't wire one of my installs, with my intervention or input.

I am.
