How to sell a boiler

I'd be interested to learn just how a boiler can acheive 122% efficiency, not a copy of a certificate, just how.

It can't..... but it might do when the raw data is processed using the approved formulas.

The approved formulas in the UK are different from the approved formulas in for example France. The raw data from one test on one boiler will produce different efficiency ratings depending on which country's formulas are used to process that single set of raw data.

It can't but also then it can using raw data and approved fomulas?

It can't period! Anything saying it can is conceived and written to deceive.

You must now make a judgement on the veracity of the figures, certificate, or letter from Dan's mum, your choice.

Are we not talking about the old chestnut of Gross Calorific Value versus Net CV?

The increase in output when condensing is a maximum of 11% compared to non-condensing. Intergas seem to be double counting - something SAP 2012 warn against.

Ffs Bernard anybody can make formulas to suit, and France come on ffs

As yet no one has explained the mechanism by which a boiler can put more heat into the water than the heat produced by burning the gas. ( at least there is nothing to be found in the public domain )

Any claim of efficiency greater then 100% is obviously the result of "an error in the testing method" and the claim can be rejected. This leads procurement officers to doubt the accuracy of other sub 100% claims that have come from the same sources.

These doubts may lead to procurement officers asking for detailed explanations of how the product has been tested and efficiency calculated. This may lead to contracts to supply being
renegotiated or cancelled.

A similar "fantasy" claim for equipment supplied to a council works department ( not heating related ) was investigated
blankshire county council procurement officer said:
We trusted the supplier and as a result we were deceived, it isn't going to be repeated. That company has been blacklisted.

Ffs Bernard what are you trying to prove now . Go and speak to intergas to fill your seemingly empty days ;) . We know it's boll@cks we don't need you to reiterate this old post . You've probably spent hours talking to your secret email friends and internet surfing so just fooking ring intergas themselves, if they can't answer your question then why do you think people here can after the discussion has already been discussed ;)

so just fooking ring intergas themselves

I emailed them., they didn't reply, others have asked, similar lack of response

Surely it is un-ethical to make bogus claims on flyers which are being handed out to prospectives customers. Perhaps by mentioning it here some un-suspecting member of the public will learn to be less trusting when readin advertising material.
